What’s Marc’s Story?

Marc Benjamin uses a combination of natural light and precision flash photography techniques for his creations. More importantly and what really matters is that he is really good at making people look good in pictures. His clients tend to end up being friends and friends tend to end up being clients which Marc thinks is pretty cool.

He is a PPA Master Photographer which is (for lack of a better analogy) the photography field's equivalent of having an international level Black Belt in Judo. Like in the Martial Arts, the title "Master Photographer" is also gained through training and proving skill by achieving success in sanctioned competitions. There are less than 2.5% individuals who have earned the title amongst all the professional photographers in the world.

He is totally addicted to audio books and his earphones seem to be glued to his head it's freaky scary. Marc goes through a new book every couple of weeks which mostly are fiction, fantasy adventures and anything that Christopher Moore writes.

When not reading err listening to books, he's into Movies, TV, very lazy Sunday afternoons and spontaneous drives down the California coast. Marc thinks that Bon Jovi's Crossroads albums is the best album of all time and he's seen almost all of the Cirque du Soleil shows in Vegas.

He loves traveling and has done photography work and lectures all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. On Marc's 21st birthday, he went on a Scandinavian soul searching vacation because of some girl. He drank Absinthe in Denmark, that tequila (mescal really) with the worm in it in Mexico, and lots of cheap gin in the Philippines.

He loves Sushi even more and one of his goals is to get a special roll named after him at the sushi bar down the street from the studio. When that time comes, the MaakuMaki would be: NegiToro with Tobiko inside, alternating Sake and Hamachi on the outside. $19
